Philadelphia Judo Evolution (PJE) provides opportunities to discover the mental and physical benefits of the Olympic sport of judo by hosting community events, bolstering local participation, providing needs-based sponsorships, and generating resources for Philadelphia area athletes.
Our vision is to be the USA’s largest hub for judo; to build a collaborative environment with high quality training, economic opportunities to participate in the sport, and a community that draws individuals and families to want to train and learn in Philadelphia.
PJE is a non-profit 501c3 with the goal of fostering the growth of the amateur sport of Judo in the greater Philadelphia area.
Developing community events focused on showcasing judo, women empowerment, anti-bullying and goal setting that are open to the Philadelphia community. This also includes hosting local tournaments and workouts to provide access and visibility to more local residents.
Supplying monetary support for classes, uniforms, national memberships, and private lessons - supporting development of dedicated and underprivileged athletes. Sending scholarship athletes to non-local events, in order to gain competitive experience.
By providing seminars from World Champions and Olympians, athletes in the Philadelphia area will gain top tier skills and knowledge.
